A wounded Robb elementary school teacher is speaking out as he mourns the death of all 11 of his students while calling out police officials response to the nearly hour and half tragedy!

Appearing in an exclusive interview with ABC news, Arnulfo Reyes recalls the fatal day in his classroom where both him and all of students heard gunshots rang out.

Speaking out for the very first time, the Fourth grade teacher explains that when his students and himself heard gunfire he immediately told them to go under their desks and pretend that they were sleeping. He says he was unsure of what was taking place but had made sure his students practiced safety procedures that they learned during school fire drills.

Unfortunately moments later he was face to face with the 18 year old gunmen Salvador Ramos. Arnulfo said that he tried his best with what he was taught to do. He was shot two times as all 11 of his students were murdered alongside an additional 8 and 2 colleagues within the 77 minute incident.

Arnulfo is fairly upset with police officials as he feels they could’ve and should’ve done more to protect them.

“ You have a bullet proof vest, I have nothing. You are supposed to protect and serve. There is no excuse for their actions, I will never forgive them.”

Becoming overwhelmed with tears Arnulfo continues, “I feel so bad for the parents because they lost a child, but they lost one child. I lost 11 that day, all at one time.”

He shares that he is now determined to be active in the national debate about gun control as he alongside millions of others demand new legislation.

“The only thing that I know is that I won’t let these children and my co-workers die in vain. I will go to the end of the world to make sure things get changed.”
