A 14 year old boy has been arrested recently following an absolute brutal crime involving a mother in front of her 4 year old daughter!

According to the New York Post, the tragic incident took place last month on April 19th within Long Island. Suffolk County Police state that the 14 year old and an accomplice broke into the Mastic Beach Home.

Reports read that the teen raped the 23 year old woman in front of her daughter and that when she moved to protect her child the suspect slashed her in the face with a switchblade. He then stabbed her in the chest as well.

Thankfully the mother survived the attack but she had to receive multiple stitches in her head, face and chest area.

“Aside from the extreme violence of the criminal activity, what makes this case so shocking is the age of the defendant who is accused of committing such callous and violent crimes,” District Attorney Raymond Tierney said in a statement. “It is becoming increasingly common to hear of violent cases like this involving minors as the perpetrators of such vicious acts.”

It has been indicated that the teen confessed to breaking into the home but has pleaded not guilty to rape, criminal sexual act, assault, burglary, sexual abuse, strangulation and endangering the welfare of a child confirms reports from Suffolk County Supreme Court earlier this week.

However after submitting a sample of his DNA, it has been stated the sample matched the same DNA found on the victim’s body.

Since he is being charged as a juvenile his his name has not been shared with the media. The teen is being held without bail and if convicted could face up to 10 years in jail. Officials are still searching for his accomplice at this time.

“My client maintains his innocence and denies these charges,”’says his lawyer Christopher Gioe.

“We’re just beginning our investigation into these allegations now and intend on fighting the charges.”
