Former Empire star Jussie Smollet ‘s request to have his 2019 high profile case dismissed involving allegations that he lied to police, has officially been denied!
It has been indicated that Jussie’s attorney Nenye Uche is currently arguing that his client already performed community service and forfeited a $10,000 bond within a deal to have the charges dropped. “ A deal is a deal. That’s ancient principle” says the attorney in court on Friday.
The case is now being handled by a special prosecutor that reportedly will not be granting any previously made deals.
Jussie received immediate backlash after police investigated the alleged hate crime and weren’t able to find any evidence supporting his claims. Also the two persons of interests and brothers Ola and Abel Osundario admitted that they were paid by the actor to stage the assault in attempt to promote his career.
