The Historically Black College and University of Spelman has officially hit a record breaking milestone within admissions application history recently!

The Atlanta, Georgia based college has recently announced that they’ve received more than 11,000 applications for the 2021-2022 admission cycle reports Black Enterprise.

Reports read that despite the uncertainty of the pandemic the college has received its highest application pool within their 140 year history. They’ve noted that it’s an overall 20% increase since last year’s pool.

“We are excited that these bright young minds are seizing the opportunity to experience our unique liberal arts education by applying to Spelman,” states president of Spelman— Mary Schmidt Campbell, Ph.D.

Sources have confirmed that Spelman College serves as one of the leading liberal arts college, and is currently a home to over 2,000 students.

Spelman has been ranked No. 54 amongst all liberal arts colleges, No. 19 for undergraduate teaching, No. 4 for social mobility among liberal arts colleges, and also No. 1 among historically Black colleges and universities.
