Fatal police brutality victim Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend Kenneth Walker III has officially filed a federal lawsuit against the Louisville Metro Police Department as well as the officers involved in the raid that ended Taylor’s life and violated his constitutional rights!

According to CNN the suit derives from the March 13th, 2020 botched raid involving officers who Kenneth originally believed were intruders and fired a single shot at as they broke down the door to Breonna’s residence.

Kenneth was later arrested and charged for shooting an officer, however the charges were later dropped permanently with prejudice.

Sources have confirmed that the suit has been filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, alleging that the Louisville Metro Police Department for violated Kenneth’s Fourth Amendment rights when executing the search warrant at Breonna’s home.

The suit also notes that the warrant was based on false pretenses that lead to the unnecessary raid in the middle of the night and officers use of excessive force.

“We are seeking to ensure that there is justice and accountability for the tragic and unjustified police assault on Kenneth Walker and killing of Breonna Taylor in her home in the middle of the night,” states, Georgetown University Law Center professor and legal representative Cliff Sloan.
