Cousins! Following a series of accusations ranging from rape, abuse, sex trafficking, and more Diddy has reportedly decided to temporarily step down as chairman of Revolt!
According to TMZ, Diddy decided sometime last week to step aside from his executive role at the media company. A source close to Diddy says that his initiative is” to not allow the accusations he’s facing distract from Revolt’s mission or success.”
The digital brand is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year officially headed by CEO Detavio Samuels and Chief Brand Officer Deon Graham. Sources state that Diddy is not involved in the company’s day to day.
There’s been no word of how long Diddy’s temporary leave will be in effect at this time.
Following news of Diddy’s temporary move Revolt has released an official statement.
“Sean Combs has stepped down from his position as Chairman of REVOLT.”
“While Mr. Combs has previously had no operational or day-to-day role in the business, this decision helps to ensure that REVOLT remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora.”
The statement continues, “Our focus has always been one that reflects our commitment to the collective journey of REVOLT – one that is not driven by any individual, but by the shared efforts and values of our entire team on behalf of advancing, elevating and championing our culture – and that continues.”
