As if things couldn’t get any more unsettling… a California man at the center of a now-viral doorbell camera incident is facing a growing list of felony charges—and the details only get more disturbing.

As if this situation couldn’t get any more disturbing… the man at the center of a viral Ring camera break-in is now facing a series of felony charges—with authorities revealing he’s also linked to a separate incident involving a child just two days prior.

The alarming ordeal unfolded in Fairfield, California on April 7 around 9 a.m., when 30-year-old Jason Thomas Nichols approached a home demanding to see a child. According to reports, his behavior quickly escalated after the homeowner spoke through the Ring camera, asking who he was and why he was there.

Nichols allegedly began kicking, screaming, and aggressively banging on the front door while repeatedly yelling, “Where is your daughter?”

After several failed attempts to force his way in, he made his way to the backyard—ultimately breaking into the home through a sliding glass door. Inside the home at the time were the homeowner’s pregnant wife and their 5-year-old daughter, who were able to escape and hide in the garage.

Footage from inside shows Nichols roaming through the home, going through personal belongings while shouting disturbing accusations and threats, including, “Where the f— is she?” and “You filthy liar. I can hear her.”

In the video, he can also be heard making alarming statements and threats while calling out to someone he believed was inside the home.

The situation escalated further when the homeowner—who had been monitoring the incident remotely—returned and confronted Nichols with a shovel, demanding he leave. The two men reportedly engaged in a physical altercation, both suffering head injuries, before the homeowner was able to force Nichols back outside, reports PEOPLE.

Moments later, police arrived and took Nichols into custody. Authorities say he was heard telling officers that “there’s a little girl trapped in this house.”

Nichols was transported to NorthBay Medical Center for treatment before being booked into Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges, including burglary, vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon, and criminal threats.

However, during his arraignment on April 13, prosecutors revealed a deeper layer to the case. Nichols is now also facing an additional charge tied to an alleged April 5 incident involving a different 5-year-old child. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, officials have not released further details.

His bail, originally set at $35,000, has since increased to $60,000 following the added charge of annoying or molesting a child under 18.

Nichols is scheduled to appear in court as the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities say no further information will be released at this time due to the involvement of minors.
