Huda Beauty has officially cut ties with Love Island Season 7 contestant Huda Mustafa, following online scrutiny and widespread calls for accountability.
The decision comes as social media continues to demand higher standards from public figures — especially those partnered with major beauty brands.
☎️ The Anonymous Call
As we previously reported, Huda found herself in hot water after a clip circulated online where a caller used a racial slur toward Olandria — where she and her boyfriend Louis responded by laughing.
Both later claimed the reaction came from shock, not humor, but the moment sparked heavy backlash online, with many calling for consequences and awareness around how influencers respond in real time.
In her statement, Olandria emphasized the importance of accountability, understanding harm, and creating safer online spaces — adding more pressure on brands to respond to influencer behavior swiftly and responsibly.
👀 Community Wants More Than PR Statements— They Want Action
Fans across platforms are reacting strongly — many praising Huda Beauty for taking action, while others say brands need to be proactive, not reactive, when partnering with influencers.
This moment highlights a bigger shift: audiences expect integrity, responsibility, and accountability in the influencer + beauty space, not just content and product promotion.
Huda Beauty Ends Partnership
In response to the viral clip, the cosmetic brand shared their decision to end their business relationship moving forward.
“We are truly disappointed by Huda Mustafa’s recent live and we take all forms of racism very seriously,” the statement said. “While we don’t believe her actions reflect her character, we found them deeply upsetting.”
The statement continues: “We know that many members of our community and team were hurt and offended by these actions.”
“As a result,” Huda Beauty stated, “We have decided to end our partnership and remove any related content from our social platforms and in-store displays.”
“Accountability is incredibly important in moments like this, and we hope that meaningful change can come from it.”
