Noir Nation! According to recent reports from The American Heart Association, it’s has officially been determined that Kendrick Lamar hit tune ‘Not Like Us’ as well as Beyonce chart topping single ‘Texas Hold Em’ is the perfect tempo for hands only CPR!
The AHA ( American Heart Association) has declared that both tracks match the ideal tempo for CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to work effectively.
It’s important to know that in order for CPR to actually work, speed must be an important factor to pay attention to. An individual must push hard and swiftly, ranging roughly 100-120 compressions per minute. Which both songs have succeeded in doing.
Both bangers are said to fall right in line as ‘Not Like Us’ has 101 beats per minute and ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ has folks moving at a pace of 110 beats per minute.
“Mustard on the beat,” reads a February 3rd caption from AHA on Instagram. “And it could help you save a life with Hands-Only CPR. If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the rhythm of ‘Not Like Us.’
In a follow-up post to their Instagram on February 5th, the AHA congratulated Bey on her legendary Grammy award wins while informing their followers that ‘Texas Hold Em’ is also a life-saving single. “Park your Lexus and throw your keys up cuz @Beyonce finally got that Album of the Year win. 👑 So crank up “Texas Hold ‘Em” and remember that if you see a teen or adult collapse, Hands-Only CPR is your best chance to save their life. Despite heart disease tragically being the leading cause of death in the Black community, it has been determined that we are less likely to receive CPR. The AHA states that African Americans are 30% less likely to receive CPR in comparison to white Americans.
