Noir Nation, felony charges have officially been dropped against Rick Ross following his domestic violence case, but he remains on the hook as prosecutors pursue additional charges!
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Rick has been cleared of felony battery and strangulation charges due to insufficient evidence. Prosecutors have now filed two misdemeanor charges against him, one for battery and another for domestic violence.
The rapper’s former girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick filed a police report on Aug 28 following an alleged incident. Authorities say that Rick allegedly became angry after she was tagged in a photo on Instagram and accused her of lying to him about being involved with a man that she told him was her friend.

In the filed report, Jazzma says Rick followed her around his home, where they’d been living together, as he continued to question her. She says that each time she denied his accusations he struck her in the chest and twisted her hoodie choking her until she was unable to breathe.
The physical attack continued as Jazzma says Rick then grabbed her by her ponytail, slammed her into a wall, and hit her in the face leaving her with a busted lip. She says that he then pushed her to the ground of the bathroom floor and sprayed her with water from the shower head.
Jazzma says she was able to escape the bathroom and leave his home.
As we previously reported, Jazzma confirmed their split online back in September after sharing a series of shocking photos to her Instagram story. The model showed photos of a busted lip and a bruised side profile with a caption that read, “I don’t know a lot of things, but I do know that a man that puts his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will.”
Rick Ross born William Leonard Roberts turned himself in to the police at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility on Oct 1, reports Local 10 News he was released hours later on a $5,000 bond.
Rick has denied all claims as he and his legal team maintain that he is innocent. “First and foremost, I am totally innocent of these fabricated allegations made against me,” said Rick “Now, I have an amazing team, such an amazing team …”
His legal team Steve Sadow and Bradley Horenstein echoed the same beliefs in a forwarded statement. “William Roberts II, professionally known as Rick Ross, is being wrongfully accused by an ex-girlfriend whose true motivations are unclear,” the statement read.
“The ex did not even file a police report until a month after the claimed incident allegedly took place. Mr. Roberts is innocent and has pled not guilty to the charges. He respectfully requests that his friends, fans, and the general public not prejudge the situation and allow the judicial process to run its course.”
