Lance Gross Opens Up About His Starring Role In The Gloria Gaynor Story ‘I Will Survive’; “We All Know Her Music But Not Her Personal Story, I Hope It Helps Someone’

Live from the star-studded New York City premiere for Lifetime A&E’s Gloria Gaynor story, ‘I Will Survive’ actor Lance Gross reflected on the iconic singer’s life and what he’s most hopeful viewers will absorb and discover from her story!

While portraying the role of Gloria’s husband and manager Lindwood Simon, Lance explains that the world knows the songstress’ music but many aren’t of her story or the obstacles she was forced to overcome in her career as well as her personal life.

“The film chronicles Gaynor’s rise to fame, from her humble beginnings to becoming one of the most iconic voices in music history,” reads the film description on Lifetime’s website.

‘I Will Survive’ is set to take viewers on a ride as the film dives deep into Gaynor’s journey and the numerous personal challenges she often faced in her life. Ranging from the process of regaining her independency from a chaotic marriage to her controlling husband, to venturing out on her own as one of the most beloved singers the entertainment industry has ever bared witness to.
