The ongoing battle between Travis Scott and Astroworld lawsuits is never-ending, as the rapper is now being accused of violating a gag order!
The Houston rapper is once again in the spotlight with the latest development surrounding Astroworld Festival lawsuits for allegedly violating the gag order based on the announcement of his project HEAL initiative.
According to Vibe, inspired by events occurring at Astroworld, the project initiative goes against the judge’s order.
“Bob Hilliard, a legal representative for the family of 9-year-old Astroworld Festival victim Ezra Blount, argued that Scott’s announcement, which included a statement concerning safety and security measures at concerts, went against Texas State District Judge Kristen Hawkins’s order.”
However, Scott’s lawyer, Stephen Brody, disputes those claims. According to Brody, the project initiative is a part of a line of charitable initiatives Scott has helped “spearhead over the years.” But Brody calls out Brounts legal team by saying they violated the gag order themselves by “publicly disparaging” his client.
“Travis’s support of charitable causes has been ongoing for years to help underprivileged young people graduate without debt, explore creative fields, and overcome mental health challenges.”
Project Heal was launched with a 5 million donation by Scott. The purpose of the project was to honor those who passed away at the Astroworld Festival.
“My team and I created Project HEAL to take much-needed action towards supporting real solutions that make all events the safest spaces they can possibly be,” Scott said of the project at the time. “I will always honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy who remain in my heart forever.”
