Drake is delivering a direct message to fans as he declares that after almost 20 years in music, he ain’t going no where!
The Toronto, Canada native kicked off his sixteen date Australia and New Zealand tour earlier this week on Tuesday February 4th.
Drake entered the arena dressed in all Black with a hooded sweater that displayed multiple bullet holes with smoke coming out the back. The instrumental to his hit song “Over My Dead Body” also played in the background as he made his way onstage.
At the end of his Anita Max Win tour stop in Perth, Australia, Drake turned to fans seemingly addressing his ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar.
“My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada,” he said in the now viral clip. “The year is now 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive and that’s all thanks to you. I love you.””
Drake’s comment comes just a few days after Kendrick’s major win at this year’s Grammys as he won Record of The Year for his diss track ‘Not Like Us’
Another moment from the sold out arena concert that instantly went viral online was Drake seemingly taking a jab at NBA all-star LeBron James.
While performing his 2018 hit single ‘Nonstop’ fans noticed that he switched up the lyrics a bit changing the line, “How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?” to “How do I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man?”
According to reports from Billboard, this is the first time the 38 year old has returned to perform in Australia since his 2017 ‘Boy Meets World Tour.’ Sources state that ‘Anita Max Wynn’ is a play on words for the phrase “I need a max win” regarding Drake’s love for gambling.
