As authorities continue to investigate the tragic death of former One Direction group member Liam Payne, additional details have begun to surface!
According to reports from PEOPLE, prosecutors believe that an employee of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Argentina provided drugs to Liam prior to his death. “There appears to be evidence that a hotel employee sourced the drugs for Payne.”
It has been indicated that the unnamed source requested to keep their identity confidential due to sensitive information surrounding the incident. “An indictment for drug distribution could follow shortly.”
Prosecutors tell Page Six, that Liam’s death has been noted as “suspicious”. However foul play is not suspected.
Buenos Aires Police are said to have told TMZ that Liam was under the influence of a potent drug identified as “cristal.” The drug has the ability to cause hallucinations and psychotic attacks.
“The dangerous substance can also cause users to experience extreme highs and extreme lows, often making them aggressive,” said officers.
CasaSur Palermo manager called 911 just minutes before Liam’s death, as he provided details regarding a male guest who was “high and drunk” that had destroyed his room.
“He is in a room that has a balcony and we are scared he might be endangering his life,” the staffer said.
Following Liam’s death two female sex workers were interviewed by police who reportedly partied with the signer in his hotel room on Wednesday. They allege that Liam seemed normal and that they did not consume any drugs with him.
Prosecutors state that the 31 year old was possibly in a “state of semi or total unconsciousness” when he died.
Liam’s cause of death derives from multiple traumas, and internal and external bleeding following his fatal fall. A toxicology report is still pending as his death remains under investigation.
