Teyana Taylor And Iman Shumpert Officially Finalize Divorce!

Cousins, after eight years of marriage Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have finalized their divorce!

According to court documents obtained by The Jasmine Brand, a judge in Georgia Fulton County Court ruled that Teyana shall maintain ownership of four martial properties worth a total of approximately $10 million.

Teyana has also been granted to keep her cars, jewelry and full ownership of her signature companies “Taylormade” and “The Aunties.”

As for Iman, the former NBA all-star has been ordered to pay a “one-time seven-figure payment” to Teyana as well as $8,000 in monthly child support payments, including private school fees for their two daughters. 

The 34-year-old will keep his Miami condo including his homes in South Georgia and Decatur. Though specific details haven’t been disclosed, Iman has also been granted to retain his portion of the couple’s business ventures.

As we previously reported, Teyana quietly filed for divorce from Iman in January 2023. The singer originally stated that she wanted the devastating news to stay under wraps in an effort to protect their children. So she filed all paperwork under her initials, however, Teyana has issued claims that Iman made their divorce public by using his full name later that year.

In September 2023 Teyana confirmed their separation on social media as rumors began to circulate. Court documents detail that she accused Iman of,” extreme mental and emotional abuse.”

In response to news of their divorce, Iman communicated through his legal team in a shared statement that he, “hopes parties and counsel can work toward a fair resolution, keeping the best interests of the children of paramount concern.”

Teyana says that Iman became jealous of her growing popularity within the entertainment industry and forced her to turn down multiple acting jobs. She says, he, “began to intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage.”

The Harlem native says that Iman didn’t want her to work but also complained when she stopped working after giving birth.

Teyana and Iman tied the knot in 2016 shortly after welcoming their daughter Junie Tayla Shumpert rose together in 2015. They went on to welcome their second daughter Rue Rose Shumpert in 2020.
