Cousins! Remy Ma’s 23 year old son Jayson Scott has been taken into police custody Tuesday regarding the brutal death of a Queens,New York man!
According to reports from ABC News, Jayson has officially been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting 47-year-old Darius Guillebeaux. It has been indicated that the fatal incident occurred following a June 7th 2021 dispute.
A 22 year old male by the name of Richard Swygert has also been charged for murder.
Sources state that Jayson has received additional charges such as second-degree murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment. Richard is only facing one murder charge at this time.
Fox News reports that Remy is committed to proving her son’s innocence and offering her full support during this time.
Remy’s attorney Dawn M. Florio explained within a released statement from Remy, that this has “been a trying time” for her and the family.
“We stand by Jayson’s innocence and hope the NYPD will conduct a complete and thorough investigation to reveal the truth.”
Remy previously served a total of six years in prison at the height of her career in the early 2000s. She was convicted on charges of assault and illegal weapons possession in 2008 following a July 2007 shooting within a Manhattan deli.
Investigators state that it is unclear at this time if Jayson himself pulled the trigger that murdered Darius or hired the hit that took his life.
Jayson is scheduled to be arraigned sometime next week.
