Cousins! Justin Timberlake has been trending throughout social media following news of his arrest for driving while intoxicated in New York!
The 43 year old publicly acknowledged his arrest while appearing at a at Chicago’s United Center Friday “It’s been a tough week.”
Justin adds, “I know I’m hard to love sometimes but you keep loving me right back.”
According to reports from CNN, Justin was pulled over early this morning around 12:30 AM as an officer observed him operating a 2025 BMW “in an intoxicated condition.” He is said to have failed to stop at a stop sign and drive in one single lane.
Justin told officials that he had one martini and then followed his friends home. However, the arresting officer says that the singer’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” and that he also had a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” coming from his breath.
Reports read that Justin declined to take a chemical test three times,” No I’m not doing a chemical test.”
After failing multiple sobriety tests, Justin was placed under arrest and held overnight. He was later released without bail and is scheduled to appear in court next month on July 26th.
“I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations. I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office,”said the singer’s attorney Ed Burke following his arrest.
Justin is currently in the midst of his “Forget Tomorrow” world tour. He is scheduled for two upcoming shows in New York City on June 25 and June 26 at Madison Square Garden.
