Cousins! Laurence Fishburne ‘s daughter Montana Fishburne has learned her fate following an altercation with local Florida officials that led to her arrest!
According to US Weekly, the 32-year-old was sentenced to twenty-four months probation following the 2022 incident. Reports confirm that Montana had previously been charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.
Documents obtained by the outlet confirm that Montana had dialed 911 and advised dispatch that she was allegedly being stalked by her former boyfriend who she says had been threatening her. Arriving officers state that upon their arrival, there was no one found at the scene.
Sources state that Montana was discovered crying on a sidewalk near the address where she made the report. She is said to have screamed at the police that no one had helped her. Authorities claim that Montana began to approach them while yelling and that they had advised her multiple times to stop.
Official state that Montana slapped a deputy on the side of his head, which he says caused swelling and redness to his ear.
Despite originally pleading not guilty to the felony charge, Montana had changed her plea to no contest as of April 10, 2024.
“There is no admission of guilt and no conviction and the case will be sealed and put in the rearview,” says Montana’s attorney, Michael Grieco, to Us in an issued statement. “And young Ms. Fishburne will be able to move on with her life.”
Michael also says that Montana’s probation sentencing is scheduled to end when she completes a 13-week anger management program.
