Luke James Speaks On Embracing The New Chapter In His Life Of Fatherhood!

Cousins! Beloved actor Luke James is embracing fatherhood and all it has to offer!

While recently appearing on the ‘Sherri Shepherd show,’ to promote his latest project Them: The Scare,” the proud papa spoke on the bond he’s created with his new born son and how he’s excited for this new journey in life.

“It’s everything,” said Luke while happily smiling  “It’s true meaning. I was all about me. Now it’s everything about him.”

Luke and his girlfriend Sunny Lewis announced in May 2023 that they were expecting a child together. Within a series of photos and video clips from their baby shower, the two shared that they had a baby boy on the way.

Further in the conversation, Luke reflected on how he’s been able to connect his son’s upbringing with his own.

“I see my childhood,”Luke added. “I see myself. I’m an only child. I just want to be a safe space for him. Now I live my life with complete purpose.”

Sherri went on to ask Luke does he sings to his son and does his baby boy share a love for music.

“Our morning routine, I play Luther Vandross live, and Wolfy dances and he clicks to it,” Luke replied. “I think that’s just a set of grounding. It’s music I grew up on that taught me about life and love.”

The two shared a heartwarming moment as Sherri gifted Luke a onesie along with a mini NAACP award rattler from Sherri to Luke. The onesie reads, “My dad gave Sherri an NAACP award.”

The last time the two saw one another was at this year’s Naacp Image Awards back in March.

“The last time we performed together we were at the NAACP Image Awards,” Sherri recalled. “You gave me my award for best talk show host.”
