Cousins! It appears that divorce is officially back on the table within the Norwood household after Princess Love revealed that she and Ray J have decided to go separate ways!
In a statement posted to Instagram Princess sent shockwaves throughout social media as she announced that the couple officially decided to pull the plug on their marriage.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways,” reads a lengthy post.
“We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other’s well-being.”
The statement continues, “While our relationship as spouses may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic.”
According to PEOPLE, Princess filed for divorce on Feb. 26 in Los Angeles, while citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
It’s no secret that the two have had their share of ups and downs as the couple has filed for divorce multiple times within the last four years of their marriage.
In 2019 Princess shared with viewers during an episode of Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood that she had planned to file for divorce after she accused Ray of leaving her and their daughter stranded in Las Vegas. The filing was dismissed the following year in May, however, Ray filed in October 2020.
The couple reconciled in March 2021, and Ray filed again in October. The petition was once more in March 2023.
Ray and Princess tied the knot in 2016 following 5 years of dating. Together they share two children, a daughter named Melody and a son named Epik.
