Cousins! A Brooklyn mother has been left devastated while also demanding justice after her daughter was brutally attacked by two teenage boys as she rode the subway home!
According to Pix 11 News, the incident took place February 27th around 9 PM as the teenage victim walked towards Nostrand Avenue. Reports read that the two males threw water water and soda at her as she walked.
The victim tells officials that she had boarded the No. 2 train at Newkirk Avenue-Little Haiti station and that the two suspects followed behind her onto the subway.
Authorities state that the entire ordeal was captured on cell phone footage as one of the suspects tossed water at the teenage girl’s face while the other male jumped and kicked her in the face.
The victim has been identified as a young girl named Sharla. She has kept her full identity undisclosed to the public as she explains that she lives in fear following the tragic turn of events.
“He punched me in the eye,” recalled Sharla. “I was like get off me, get off me, and he spit at me.”
She added, “No one should put hands on females, even if they say there’s two sides…I was upset, angry.”
Sharla’s mother Sabine Mondesir shares with Pix 11, that she was unable to watch the entire video.
“I saw half, and I couldn’t finish. It was painful to watch your kid get kicked. It was too much,” said Sabine.
Authorities state that the family has received a string of threats since the tragic incident.
“I do feel helpless. I have the boys’ names and where they go to school.” Sabine says that she has reached out to the NYPD multiple times but no action has been taken. “I went to the precinct, but it’s not moving as much. They have a lot of stuff to do, but I’m not getting the help I need.”
Unfortunately, no arrests have been in connection to the incident at this time.
“I just want them caught and get justice for my daughter,”said Sabine
