Cousins! Following Usher‘s epic Super Bowl halftime show, fans noticed that rumors of Justin Bieber joining him on stage Sunday didn’t happen!
According to exclusive reports from Page Six, Usher did in fact ask Justin to join him on stage for an epic moment, however, he apparently turned down his longtime friend’s request.
Justin instead was seen alongside his wife Hailey Bieber enjoying the show and bopping their heads as Usher performed for 65,000 Super Bowl attendees and millions of viewers at home.
A music industry source tells Page Six that despite Justin’s decline to perform with Usher there is no bad issues between them. “There’s no bad blood between Usher and Justin. Justin just wasn’t up for it — he just wasn’t feeling it.”
It has been indicated that Usher did try his best to persuade Justin as he thought them coming together would serve as a historic tribute for fans to enjoy. Unfortunately the 29 year old proceeded to decline his offer.
Though there has been no details forwarded as to why Justin wasn’t feeling up to performing, he has been transparent in recent years of his struggles with anxiety.
Back in 2022 he shared with fans on social media that he was forced to cancel the remaining dates of his ‘Justice’ tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
Ramsay consists of a painful rash that can also cause face paralysis and hearing loss.
