Baltimore Police Currently Seeking People Of Interest Surrounding Morgan State University Shooting!

Cousins! Baltimore police officials are currently conducting an active search following an on-campus shooting at Morgan State University!

According to reports from WBALTV News, five young adults were injured Tuesday night around 9:25 PM. Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley and Morgan State University Police Chief Lance Hatcher say officers were on patrol when they heard someone open fire on campus.

Source state four men and a woman between the ages of 18 and 22 endured non-life threatening. Four out of the five victims are said to be currently enrolled students of Morgan State University.

Though an active shooter situation and shelter-in-place- orders have been lifted, officers are still seeking the whereabouts of the persons responsible.

On Wednesday afternoon Morgan state officials announced that they would be canceling homecoming for the first time in the university’s history.

“Today, we unfortunately find ourselves navigating this tragic event during a time at which we should be celebrating our National Treasure during Homecoming,” reads a statement from Morgan state university President David K. Wilson.

“Please understand that the safety of our campus is of the utmost importance and our resolve in ensuring that we have a secure campus is paramount. In response to last evening’s events, we are aggressively increasing security measures on campus, further amplifying additional security measures that have been implemented in recent years.”

Investigators have also released video footage of a group of people walking alongside a grassy area of the University on the night of the ordeal who they believe are suspects.

“Surveillance video can be valuable because there could be somebody close to one of these suspects that recognizes a mannerism. The mannerisms are sometimes more important than the clothes cause you can’t help the way you walk,” Smith said.
