Cousins! Please join us in sending prayers up for Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders as he is scheduled to undergo emergency surgery on Friday for a series of blood clots found within both his legs and thighs!
“I have two clots in my leg: one in my right leg, one in my left leg, which is my thighs,” said the Colorado coach in a video posted to his Instagram.
Deion explains that he is having the procedure to help restore blood flow circulation for doctors to be able to perform surgery to repair his hammer toes on one foot.
“There’s no talk of amputation. There’s no talk of any of that whatsoever,” added as he addresses recent stories that said doctors had told him he was in danger of having his foot amputated, reports the New York Post.
“The doctor was just telling me worst comes to worst, that [amputating the foot] was gonna happen. But I believe in staying right so we never have to take that left.”
NFL cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones says that Deion is scheduled for surgery Friday at 6 am.
“He’s been dealing with this since Jackson State,” Jones says, surrounding Deion’s time as an HBCU coach. “He had a blood clot in his leg — the same thing with the foot. He was thinking about cutting the foot off and he didn’t.
“He went through a hell of an operation. I was there … to see him go through that and get back to where he’s at. I just want him to get healthy.”
