Update: Subway Slasher Arrested And Charged With 1st Degree Assault After Attacking 3 Women On Father’s Day!

Cousins! A male identified as a serial subway slasher after attacking three women from behind on Father’s Day has officially been taken into police custody!

26-year-old Kemal Rideout has been charged with assault after being taken in for question at the 14 St. / Union Square subway station, reads reports from the Pix 11 news. Sources state he has previously been arrested four times in New York state and once in the city.

Officials say that Kemel has a history of emotional issues.

According to ABC 7 NY, transit officers had been on patrol looking for the suspect, and ultimately found him around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. He was then taken to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric examination.

As we previously reported Kemal is said to have gone on a violent slashing spree on Father’s Day within various Manhattan train stations beginning between the hours of 4 and 5 PM.

One of Kemal’s victim’s injury’s was described as being so severe that she had to be transported to the hospital.

“I was on the train, texting my boyfriend,” shares the woman who would like to remain anonymous. “Some random guy walked past me and sliced me-I don’t know what he used-and nonchalantly walked away. My body was in shock. I didn’t feel the pain right away. My first instinct was to get a video of him and then looked down and saw the blood coming down.”

Kemal is currently facing facing three counts of 1st-degree assault.
