Cousins! Nicki Minaj is the latest high-profile celebrity to fall victim to the currently trending swatting prank; following reports that officials were called to her house upon false claims of child abuse and an active fire!
According to TMZ, earlier this month police officers arrived at Nicki’s Los Angeles-based home after a call was made to child services anonymously. It has been stated that allegations were forwarded about her almost three-year-old son being abused.
Reports read that Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at Nicki’s home around 6 PM and spoke directly with Nicki and her husband Kenneth Petty. Upon investigation thegvwere able to determine there were no signs of abuse.
Officials declared the incident as a swatting call, described as a fake emergency call conducted to spark outrage in efforts of having a large group of armed officers raid a premises. Nicki joins fellow celebrities such as Chris Brown, Diddy, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, The Kardashians, and more who have all been previous victims of such false calls.
