Vanessa Bryant Reaches Nearly $30 Million Settlement With Los Angeles County Over Lawsuit Over Shared Images Of Tragic 2020 Helicopter Crash Involving Kobe Bryant And Additional Victims!

Cousins! An official settlement has been reached in agreement between Vanessa Bryant and the Los Angeles County surrounding the tragic 2020 helicopter crash that claimed the lives of her husband Kobe Bryant, their daughter Gianna Bryant alongside seven additional victims!

According to reports from CNN, Vanessa is set to receive a settlement of $28,850,000 million dollars after taking legal action against first responders that proceeded in taking close up images of each victims mangled body following the Calabasa, California crash.

As we previously reported a Federal judge declared the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and the Fire Departments responsible for compromising the constitutional rights of Vanessa and her co-plaintiff Christopher Chester by taking gruesome photos of their loved ones alongside additional victims deceased bodies.

“Today marks the successful culmination of Mrs. Bryant’s courageous battle to hold accountable those who engaged in this grotesque conduct,” said Vanessa’s attorney Luis Li, in a statement to CNN. “She fought for her husband, her daughter, and all those in the community whose deceased family were treated with similar disrespect. We hope her victory at trial and this settlement will put an end to this practice.”

It has been indicated that both Vanessa and Christopher had expressed that the photos taken of their loved ones lifeless bodies had caused them emotional distress and was a direct violation of their privacy. They also testified that they live in constant fear that images of the victims bodies will surface online despite the County’s advisement that the photos of have since been destroyed.

Initially a jury had awarded Christopher $15 million dollars in damages and Vanessa approximately 16 million dollars. The issued lawsuit details that Christopher had lost both his wife Sarah and their 13 year old daughter Payton within the January 2020 crash.

“The $28,850,000 settlement includes the verdict awarded by the federal jury in August 2022, and further resolves all outstanding issues related to pending legal claims in state court, future claims by the Bryant children, and other costs, with each party responsible for its respective attorneys’ fees,” said lead trial counsel for Los Angeles County Mira Hashmall within a shared statement.

Vanessa and Kobe’ youngest daughters Bianka Bella Bryant, and Capri Kobe Bryant were also named in the lawsuit as being deeply impacted.

“We hope Ms. Bryant and her children continue to heal from their loss,” added Mira.
