Beauty bombshells such as Ryan Destiny and Coco Jones were on Gab’s list for who she would like to see play a younger version of her.” I think young me would be somewhere between, like, Ryan Destiny, Coco Jones, and then older me, I mean Janet,” she said.

While fan favorite songstress Ashanti and legendary icon Janet Jackson Gabrielle detailed she would like to see play her as she matured within the proposed biopic. “Maybe Ashanti could play me in my 30s, early 40s, and then Miss Janet,”said Gabrielle in conversation with Hello Beautiful.

It’s no secret that Gabrielle and Ryan have often been said to share the same flawless face. She even spoke on the first time they crossed paths in person within her 2017 memoir, ‘We’re Going To Need More Wine

“Just the night before, I had attended a pre-Oscar cocktail party for women in film. There I had met a young actor named Ryan Destiny,” Gabrielle wrote. “She had appeared in the Lee Daniels series Star. I had heard that she looked like me. I saw her in person and she looks like I literally gave birth to her. Gab 2.0, only better.”

Gabrielle recalled Ryan saying, “I admire you so much…If you could mentor me…’ Bi**h, f**k you, I thought. You want me to mentor you?”. “The press is literally calling you the next Gabrielle Union… ‘except she can sing and dance!’ I smiled, and the photographers came over. They needed to document this moment of ‘Look who’s old!’”

Ryan later addressed the name drop from Gabrielle’s book surrounding their initial encounter. “That was very weird to me, weird in a good way because I didn’t expect her to put me in her book, period,” she said. “I remember the time that we did meet, which is the situation she was addressing in her book, and she was very nice. I wouldn’t have known that she was thinking any of the stuff that she said she was thinking in her head at all.”
