According to reports from TMZ, Randy passed away early this morning in hospice care following a battle with colon cancer. He was diagnosed in April 2022 and revealed to fans that he was given 2-3 years to live and possibly 5 with the hopes of effective chemotherapy.
“It’s a 50/50 chance and then if my body doesn’t take the chemo, I’m just a dead man walking, so it’s scary,” he said.
“It’s alright because God is going to take care of it,” Brice added.
Randy and his son Brice Gonzalez had grown within popularity over the last few years as they used social media to create hilarious family fueled moments that often went viral.
The 35 year old also utilized his platform to advocate for awareness by being transparent with his own story. As he often shared hopefulness of getting better and beating cancer.
According to reports from Fox26 Houston, Randy had revealed that his insurance to pay for chemotherapy had been turned down. He then started a GoFundMe page where the duo’s millions of social media followers donated more than $100,000 for his treatment.
“I know we’re going to fight it, and we’re going to beat it.,” said Randy. “I believe in God and I believe in Jesus and I believe that they’re going to cure me and I believe my body is going to take the chemo and I know it’s not my time to go.”
Social media users began to pour in with their condolences following the tragic news.
