“Abott Elementary” created, written and staring multitalented Quinta Brown; has officially been named ABC network’s first comedy to premier with quadruple ratings since its original airing date reports Deadline.

Sources confirm the series debuted back in December of 2021 with 2.79 million viewers, a 0.6 rating across demographics between the ages of 18- 49 years old. However things changed swiftly as viewership across ABC’s digital platforms helping to bring the series premier to a 300% increase with a 2.4 rating and 7.1 million total viewers.

The series is now being ranked as the largest percentage growth from L+SD to MP35 for any new comedy premiere.

Abott Elementary, originally created by the social media sensation based on the previous experiences she alongside her mother endured within the Philadelphia public school system. Quinta says her mother is her inspiration as she’s previously worked as an elementary school teacher for 40 years.

I put a lot of my mom’s real-life experiences into this show and modified them a little bit,” Quinta says within a POPSUGAR exclusive. “I think a lot of it is based on what I’ve seen in my mom’s years of teaching, and then we incorporated a lot of the more modern stuff.”

Alongside Quinta the hit series stars, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and William Stanford Davis.

Cousins, be sure to tune in every Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. for all new episodes of Abbott Elementary available only on ABC.
