Social media user Maya Angelique has gone viral after sharing her very detailed and horrific experience on twitter (@moneyymaya) while staying at the DC Cambria Hotel!

She recalled being away to attend a funeral the next day, so she checked into the DC Cambria Hotel.

“I was in the shower at around 1:00 A.M. when a man with dreads wearing a blue shirt, jeans, and a mask tried to violently break into my room. He somehow had a KEY to open my room door,” she wrote.

He kept yelling for her to ‘open the f*** door, let me in.’ Thankfully Maya used the privacy door latch which thwarted his efforts, otherwise she would have been face to face with a predator in the most vulnerable state possible.

She was able to look through the peephole in time, catching a glimpse of an African American male with locs running down the hall.

Immediately she informed the Cambria Hotel front desk; the concierge explained that it was merely “housekeeping” trying to get into the room by mistake. (At 1:00a.m in the morning?)

They moved her to a different room at her request but the ordeal took a toll on her. Maya shared the incident on social media, sparking a whole slew of women to share similar experiences. Some from the same hotel, others found similar experiences at different hotels.

The public is demanding an immediate full investigation into the DC Cambria Hotel. Philomena Wankenge, co-founder of Freedom Fighters DC, has addressed growing concerns and demands for an investigation into “what appears to be a highly sophisticated human trafficking operation” reports YAHOO.

They say men have 1 job….1 job! To protect the children and women of their communities. Black men are crucial to the survival of their families and community.

Therefore, it is pretty alarming to know the statistics among black men, and their commitment to human sex trafficking at the expense of their black women and children.
