The parents of police brutality victim Elijah McClain have reached an official settlement within the Federal Civil Rights lawsuit against the city of Aurora, Colorado!

As we previously reported Elijah passed away in 2019 following a terrible incident involving fatal force and sedation at the hands of police officials.

According to NBC News there has been no additional details forwarded within the settlement except that, “ allocations of the proceeds,” amongst Elijah’s mother and father Sheeneen McClain and Lawayne Mosley alongside their attorneys have been reached.

The forwarded suit alleges that the city including three police officers, two paramedics and the medical director of Aurora Fire Rescue violated Elijah’s civil rights with the use of a chokehold and injecting him with ketamine.

Authorities state that on scene officers identified Elijah as a threat. Recorded footage shows that he was placed in handcuffs as he stated he couldn’t breathe and was injected with a hallucinogenic anesthetic that shortly caused him to go into cardiac arrest. He died three days later with no cause of death determined.
