It looks like the modern day soap opera ‘The Haves And The Haves Nots,” is reaching its final days as the OWN Network recently confirmed that the series current season is its last!

TylerPerry ‘s The Haves and the Have Not has reigned as the network’s longest running scripted drama since its original debut in 2013.

According to the Hollywood Reporter the show is set to wrap up with season 8. The mid season finale took place Tuesday January 12th and will return with the final episodes in May.

The series depicts the lives and of wealthy families in connection with secrecy and deceit of the people they employ.

Since day one Tyler served as the writer and executive producer of the series. The show stars Tika Sumpter, John Schneider, Angela Robinson, Renee Lawless, Crystal Fox, Tyler Lepley, Gavin Houston, Peter Parros, Aaron O,Connell, Brett Davis and Brock Yurich.

“The Haves and the Have Nots was the first scripted drama we aired on OWN, and to say it took off from the first day it hit the air is an understatement,” stated OWN creator Oprah Winfrey.

“It’s all due to one man’s creativity and very vivid imagination, a man I refer to as my ‘big little brother,’ Tyler Perry. I thank Tyler, the incredible cast, the tireless crew and every single viewer who watched with bated breath each week and tweeted along with us these past eight years. I will be watching alongside you all during this final season.”
