Following the sudden and tragic loss of his mother earlier this year, NBA all star and Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl Anthony Towns says he’s lost a total of seven family members due to COVID-19.

In a recently released interview Towns speaks on the the life altering experiences he has been forced to endure due to the pandemic.

He reveals that he“hasn’t been in a good place” following the passing of his mother in April his mother.

He also speaks on losing multiple family members due to the virus and the responsibility he has taken on to keep his other family members informed and healthy.

“I’m the one looking for answers to try to keep my family well-informed and make all the moves necessary to keep them alive.@

According to Yahoo Sports, Towns injured his wrist during a game against the Toronto Raptors earlier this year back in February. Sources have confirmed that he hasn’t played since then due to his injury, the NBA suspended season within mid-March and his team not making it the Orlando bubble.
