Mexican Government Temporarily Suspends Production Of Corona Beer!

Mexican officials have recently canceled the production of Corona beers after being deemed non essential within the #Coronavirus widespread!

According to CNBC news the official announcement was made on Thursday by Mexico’s Grupo Modelo, implementing that Corona beer alongside multiple other exported brands will be temporarily halt for production due to the government issued order to shut down all non-essential businesses.

Sources have confirmed that the Mexican government has declared the country currently under a health emergency after the number of COVID-19 exceeded over 1,000. As of April 7th there are a total of 2,439 cases and 94 deaths.

It has been indicated that the order went to place on Sunday April 5th.
“If the federal government considers it appropriate to issue some clarification confirming beer as an agro-industrial product, at Grupo Modelo we are ready to execute a plan with more than 75% of our staff working from home and at the same time guaranteeing the supply of beer,” states Modelo within a statement.
