A pregnant mother of 6 has landed herself in some pretty deep trouble after stealing multiple people’s identity, including movie and television star #TarjiPHenson.
According to the #ChicagoTribune ; Alicia Newby, 29 was present for a court hearing Sunday, at the Leighton Criminal Court Building. Newby was accompanied by a public offender pertaining to accusations of identify theft. She’s currently facing charges of continuing a financial crime enterprise. Sources have indicated that Newby was ordered release for $10,000 in signature bail and electronic monitoring. She has been forbidden from reaching any victims or witnesses.
Reports read that multiple other victims identities have been compromised at the hands of Newby. Altogether she has attained over $12,000 in fraudulent transactions on the behalf of Henson’s identity. However $4,000 was canceled by Taraji’s team after discovering the fraudulent activity.
It has been indicated that Newby gained access to Henson’s details by comprising her email address. “Once this was done, the defendant then raided the account for a variety of information,” including phone numbers, addresses, financial accounts and telephone numbers that she could then use to purchase items online, “ stated Assistant State’s Attorney James in court.
Reports read that Newby also committed fraud upon big name financial brands such as JP Morgan Chase, American Express and PayPal.
Newby was arrested Saturday morning with a warrant at her apartment located in the 6200 block of West Wabansia Avenue. Her attorney has requested a reasonable bond due to the fact that Newby is pregnant, has 6 children and suffers from a bipolar disorder.
