Noir Nation, Yaya Mayweather is going to have to dig deep in her Birkin after a recent judgment ordered her to cough up nearly $50 million in damages stemming from a 2020 stabbing incident!
According to TMZ, a Texas judge awarded Lapattra Jacobs a hefty win in court today. Jacobs is set to receive $40,105,000 in compensatory damages, along with an additional $10 million in exemplary damages. The judgment comes after claims involving past medical expenses, pain and suffering, physical impairment, loss of earning capacity and disfigurement. Another $32 million was also awarded for potential future damages in those same categories.
As previously reported, Yaya and Jacobs got into a physical altercation in 2020 at NBA YoungBoy’s home. Police said Yaya attacked Jacobs with two knives. When officers arrived, Jacobs was reportedly found on the floor bleeding and was transported to a local hospital.
Yaya was arrested and later pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was ultimately sentenced to six years of probation.
