Melania Trump clearly wasn’t here for Jimmy Kimmel little jokey-joke at a mock correspondents’ dinner of her looking like an ‘Expectant widow’
Taking to Twitter (X) Melania called out Jimmy expressing that his joke was both violent and hateful while demanding the ABC Network make a move by firing him.
Melania doubled down in saying that Jimmy’s behavior and the platform he has is dangerous as it has the ability to influence others.
She wrote, “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,” Melania’s tweet continued.
“A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.”
“Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.”
Melania’s long-winded tweet caught Kimmel by surprise as he expressed the joke being taken completely out of context. He also noted that Trumps should in fact be fired not the other way around.
“Wait a minute. Did he just make a joke about his death?” Kimmel asked. “He should be fired for that! Only Donald Trump would demand I be fired for making a joke about his old age, and then a day later, go out and make a joke about his own old age!”
Kimmel dismissed the “ridiculous” drama surrounding his previous monologue with people making a “big thing out of this joke.”
He then move to show a clip of Trump, welcoming King Charles III, highlighting that his parents were married for 63 years and telling the first lady he doesn’t think he will live long enough for them to achieve that milestone.
“That’s a record we won’t be able to match, darling,” Trump said. The president and the first lady have been married for 21 years.
