Noir Nation, this one hurts! The airline known for its budget-friendly fares has officially pulled the plug on their entire operation!

After months of behind-the-scenes financial struggles, Spirit has reportedly reached its breaking point amid ongoing economic pressure. Travelers nationwide are now dealing with swift cancellations, chaotic airport scenes, and little to no direction as the company confirms its customer service operations have also been shut down.

In an official statement shared online, Spirit addressed the sudden move:

“It is with great disappointment that Spirit Airlines has started winding down its global operations, effective immediately. All flights have been cancelled, and customer service is no longer available.”

“While we are not able to help rebook your flight on another airline, we will automatically process refunds for any flights purchased through Spirit with a credit or debit card to the original form of payment.”

The company also reflected on its legacy, highlighting its 33-year run and the impact of its ultra-low-cost model on the industry.

“We are proud of the impact of our ultra-low-cost model on the industry for the last 33 years and had hoped to serve our Guests for many years to come.”

Now, with no rebooking support and limited communication, affected passengers are being forced to figure out alternate travel plans on their own.

Noir Nation, if you had travel plans booked, check your accounts ASAP for refunds and start exploring backup options. This situation is still unfolding 👀
