A plot twist we definitely weren’t expecting. Tyler Perry’s act of support, lending a helping hand to TSA workers, has seemingly hit another roadblock!

As previously reported Tyler blessed TSA workers with $1,000 gift cards during the ongoing government shutdown. According to updated reports from 11 Alive News, TSA workers have begun speaking out about claims that they are now being asked to return them.

The media mogul went viral earlier this week after attempting to hand out large lump sums of cash to TSA workers, but was turned away soon thereafter. It has been indicated that due to federal rules, TSA employees can’t accept direct monetary gifts.

Later in the week, Tyler communicated directly with management as well as Human Resources to ensure he was following the proper legal channels to distribute funds to TSA employees.

Unfortunately, the airport’s federal security director has now raised concerns about the distribution. Sources tell the outlet, that management’s demands for the return of the gift card has been complicated as they’ve already began spending some of the funds.

As previously reported, TSA employees have been working for more than six weeks without pay, with some facing extreme financial issues including eviction.
