Noir Nation, tragedy struck Atlanta this week as 21-year-old Kyle Bassinga, missing since Valentine’s Day, was found lifeless in a local park!

Bassinga was last seen by his family on Saturday, February 14, and reported missing the following day. Cobb County officials confirmed that a witness saw a man enter a wooded area of Fair Oaks Park around 4 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. On February 18 at 9:46 a.m., authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a deceased person in the same area.

Officials are awaiting the medical examiner’s autopsy results as detectives continue their investigation. At this time, authorities have reported no evidence of foul play or third-party involvement and are treating the death as a potential suicide.

After Bassinga went missing, a video surfaced online showing a tense encounter he had with police. In the clip, posted to his social media, Bassinga questions an officer about why he was asked to provide identification, suggesting the request was illegal. It appears the officer asked for his student ID to verify his enrollment at Georgia State University.

Speaking with 11Alive reporter Chase Houle, Bassinga’s family emphasized that speculation about foul play is not their focus.

“Right now, online speculation is the least of our worries. We are focused on burying our son and are happy to have found him,” the family said.

NoirOnlineOrg sends condolences to Bassinga’s family, friends, and everyone affected by this devastating loss.
