Looks like winter is standing ten toes down!
According to CNN, Punxsutawney Phil made his annual Groundhog Day appearance and, right on schedule, saw his shadow; officially calling for six more weeks of winter!
The tradition, which dates back more than a century in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, had crowds bundled up and watching closely as the famous groundhog delivered his verdict. While the ritual is more symbolic than scientific, it never quite fails to align and folks end up holding tighter to their coats.
