Niko McKnight, the 32-year-old son of R&B legend Brian McKnight, has passed away after a private two-year battle with cancer!
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Niko’s uncle, Claude McKnight, who took to TikTok with a deeply emotional tribute. In the video, Claude remembered Niko as a “beautiful soul” and a “gifted artist” who was known for his talents as a singer, guitarist, and photographer.
“This one really hurts. My nephew Niko McKnight has passed. He fought valiantly against this insidious disease for the last two years,” Claude shared.

Despite their estrangement, those close to Niko remember him as someone full of light, talent, and a fighting spirit. He publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis in January 2024, and continued to share messages of hope and gratitude, especially thanking his wife and loved ones for their unwavering support.
