Dawn Richard is speaking out after shocking allegations surfaced from her former Making the Band castmate and boyfriend Que (Qwanell Mosley) of Day26!
In a recent sit-down interview with Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes on their podcast while covering the Diddy Trial, Que accused Dawn of drugging him with a horse tranquilizer pill upon their arrival at Diddy’s mansion. He claiming the incident happened years ago during the height of their Bad Boy reality show era.
“Within like twenty minutes, I knocked out and blacked out,” Que explained. “I woke up in the twins’ bedroom in the basement, and I woke up out of my sleep screaming, very very loud… I woke up in their bed, two cameras filming me, and they were laughing as I woke up out of my sleep screaming, and it felt like… I’m not gonna cry…. it felt very sacrificial. That’s what I meant when I said I felt like they were trying to hurt me or Diddy was trying to maybe sacrifice me that night.”
The accusation has sparked major conversation online — and now, Dawn is breaking her silence.
The Allegation 😳💊
In the now-viral clip, Que alleged that tensions had escalated one night at Diddy’s house, leading to a mental health spiral. He claimed that Dawn gave him something that caused him to feel “drowsy” and “out of it,” implying that she may have drugged him.
“I didn’t feel like myself after that. I still remember it. She gave me something… and everything just went black,” Que said during the interview.
Dawn Responds 🗣️💯
Dawn took to social media to firmly deny the allegations, calling them “completely false” and “a dangerous narrative.” In her official statement, she emphasized how harmful such accusations are — especially considering her own advocacy for Black mental health and artists’ rights.
“I want to be unequivocally clear: I have never drugged anyone nor have I ever given anyone pills to take,” wrote Dawn in a since deleted post to social media. “The suggestion that I did so is categorically false. If such a belief were genuine, it would be inconsistent with the actions that followed— such as inviting me into your home, introducing me to your younger sisters and family and continuing a relationship with me.”
“I have never, nor would I ever, harm anyone — especially not someone I considered a friend. These allegations are not only untrue, they’re harmful to my character and years of work in this industry.”
She also alluded to the sensitive nature of mental health struggles and urged Que to seek peace and healing — but stressed that she would not allow her name to be tarnished.
“Throughout our time together and even after our separation, I made a conscious decision not to share or disclose private matters or the circumstances surrounding the end of our relationship to protect YOU. I did this out of respect for you and your family.”
Dawn added, “At this moment, I believe it is essential to recognize that many people are dealing with pain and hardship. This situation is not about one person; it reflects broader harm that has affected many. I sincerely hope that healing and wholeness are possible for all involved. My intention is and always has been to move forward with compassion and integrity, and I pray that others can do the same.”
Fans React 💬🔥
The online reaction has been split, with many fans defending Dawn’s integrity and long-standing professionalism, while others are calling for clarity and further accountability. Some are also questioning the timing and motive behind Que’s sudden revelation.
“I’ve actually met and hung out with Danity Kane in their hotel room after a concert. Dawn and Aubrey were all business. Dawn didn’t even hang out and drink with us or anything crazy. Its hard to believe she’d use horse tranquilizers when she barely even drank at this party,” wrote one social media user.
“Look, she was significantly older than him and his girlfriend. I don’t doubt that he trusted her enough to take something that she gave him regardless to who gave it to her,” wrote another social media user.
“Hmmmm so much to unpack,” read a comment.
Neither Sean “Diddy” Combs nor anyone from the Day26 camp has issued a statement as of yet.
As the internet continues to unpack the decade-long history between former Making the Band castmates, one thing is clear: Dawn Richard is not taking the accusation lightly — and she’s ready to defend her name.
