Akon is switching things up as he reveals his plans to redo his entire catalog with a country twist!
While chatting with TMZ in New York City earlier this month, Akon opened up about what he’s cooking up in the studio when asked about fellow artists tapping into the Country music genre.
“I’m actually redoing my whole catalog in the country,” Akon told the outlet exclusively. “The whole catalog, I’m not even joking. We’ve already started.”
Akon shared that his latest move is already five years in the making and that he’s already been in contact with some heavy-hitting country music artists to collab with.
“It’s been an idea for years, like, forever,” he said. “Starting next month you’re gonna start seeing all the releases.”
