Noir Nation; it has been a long time coming but our prayers have officially been signed and delivered as Fantasia reveals she has a Gospel album in motion!
In a now-viral video posted to social media, the beloved vocalist shared with fans that she has a new project on the way and that she is finally tapping into the genre of Gospel music.
“God has been telling me to do a gospel album for years, and I’ve been running,” says the 40-year-old. “But the world right now is dark, it’s a lot going on… I get to see a lot in the industry. And so I want to give my Father, who’s been so good to me, back what he deserves.
Fantasia shared a video on Instagram of exclusive behind-the-scenes clips of her creating the album– from studio sessions, collaborating with fellow singers, and heartwarming moments with producers. “Someone asked: Why are you scared? I replied because my Abba actually means everything to me and my posture has to be different,” reads the caption.
The legendary ‘American Idol” winner previously reflected on her journey in the music industry during a 2024 interview with ET as she expressed feeling at peace. “Because I know what I want at 40, and I know what I don’t want.”
“Sometimes, we have to wake up in the morning and realize that, one — we woke up, and two — you can’t forget all the things that are around you and to look at the blessing in that. So at 40, I’m at peace, baby.”
