Porsha Williams Estranged Husband Simon Guobadia Detained By Ice Following Mass Deportation Order!

Sheesh! According to trending reports Porsha Williams estranged husband and businessman Simon Guobadia has been detained by ICE!

US Weekly reports, that the Nigeria born native is currently being held at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s website reads as of Friday (February 21), Simon’s listed status is, “in ICE custody.” The 60-year-old is being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

News of Simon’s detainment comes amid the Trump administration’s mass Deportation plan. The recently signed executive order requires illegal immigrants to be detained and deported back to their native countries.

WSB-TV 2 reports that Simon came to the United States in the early 1980s, he allegedly overstayed his visa and was declared deportable in 1985. Over the last twenty years, Simon has been deported numerous times after reportedly overstaying various work visas.

In 2016, he applied for naturalization, however, he was denied by the U.S. government. Most recently in February 2024, Simon was once again denied residency in the U.S.

Appearing seemingly unbothered, Simon shared a brief message to Instagram sharing that he has been in America for over forty years.  “Happy Tuesday to all who ever overcame and persevered in life. You are winning👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 #42yearsLivinginAmerica.”

Following news of Simon’s detainment, Porsha took to her verified Instagram page with a statement, reports PEOPLE. “It’s disheartening to see my estranged husband make choices that have led to this outcome. At this moment my priority is moving forward with my family. 🙏🏾.”

The Estranged couple wed in November 2022. They held a traditional Nigerian ceremony on November 25, 2022, and an American ceremony in Atlanta Georgia later on. Porsha filed for divorce from Simon after almost 15 months of marriage.
