UnitedHealthCare CEO Separated From Wife At The Time Of Fatal Shooting; Says He Had Been Receiving Threats Prior To His Death!

Noir Nation! As officials continue to investigate the tragic murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson further details have began to emerge!

According to reports from NBC News Brian’s wife Paulette Thompson reveals that he had been receiving threats before the fatal attack. “Yes, there had been some threats basically I don’t know, a lack of coverage? I don’t know details,” Paulette told NBC News. “I just know that he said there were some people that had been threatening him.”

She explained that despite the threats, Brian decided against changing his travel plans.

“I can’t really give a thoughtful response right now,” she told NBC News. “I just found this out and I’m trying to console my children.”

Later that evening within a text message forwarded to Fox 9 News Paulette wrote, “We are shattered to hear about the senseless killing of our beloved Brian. Brian was an incredibly loving, generous, talented man who truly lived life to the fullest and touched so many lives.”

She added, “Most importantly, Brian was an incredibly loving father to our two sons and will be greatly missed. We appreciate your well wishes and request complete privacy as our family moves through this difficult time.”

PEOPLE reports that Brian and his wife were separated at the time of his murder.

Sources state that the estrange couple had been living in separate homes over the last few years Maple Grove Minn.

As we previously reported Brian was fatally shot in the chest multiple times by a masked gunman in Midtown Manhattan early Thursday morning.

The gunman remains at large as officials to continue to investigate the tragic ordeal.
