Tia Mowry Shares Emotional Response To The Tragic Murder Of Sonya Massey!

Cousins, Tia Mowry is the latest celebrity that has taken to social media to speak on the devastating murder of Springfield, Illinois resident Sonya Massey!

In a emotionial video clip shared to Instagram, Tia spoke directly to fans regarding her reaction to the fatal shooting of Sonya. The actress expressed the devastation she felt in watching the unarmed woman tragically gunned down in her own home.

“I am literally shaking right now because — whew, to see how somebody’s life can be taken in such a way is so terrible. And so disgusting,” she said. “When is this going to stop?”

As we previously reported Illinois state police recently released body cam footage of Sonya’s final moments as she was sadly gunned down by local deputy Sean Grayson.

Further in the video, Tia spoke on her personal fears as a mother of raising a Black teenager in society. She explained that the recent turn of events has influenced her to have another conversation with her son about being careful.

A thirty-six-minute video released by Illinois state police shows two Sangamon County sheriff’s deputies as they arrive at the home of Sonya Massey. The 36-year-old is said to have dialed 911 to report a possible “prowler” in her Springfield home, confirms prosecutors.

The now widely circulated video shows Deputy Grayson alongside another deputy as Sonya moves toward the kitchen area of her home to turn off a pot of boiling water. The deputies can be seen moving back as she asks them where they are going. One of the two men can be heard saying, “ away from your hot steaming water.”

In response, Sonya says, “ I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” One of the two men says “Huh?” and she repeats, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” Sean then shouts, “You better fcking not or I swear to God I’ll fcking shoot you in the f*cking face.” As the officers immediately draw their weapons Sonya can be heard saying, “I’m sorry”

Grayson fatally shot Sonya a total of three times as he later explained to fellow officers that he felt threatened by the pot of a boiling water.
