Legendary Boxer Roy Jones Jr. Reveals That His Son Has Passed Away By Suicide

Cousins! We are sending our deepest condolences to legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr following the news of the passing of his son!

Roy took to Instagram earlier today in a shared post to speak on the tragic news. “Unfortunately, my son DeAndre took his life on Saturday.”

“I’m so thankful that God allowed me to come Friday night to spend the last night of his life with me and his family. I know a lot of people are going through tough times right now, but nothing is worth taking your own life. God gives and it should be the one to take it away.”

The 55-year-old continued by thanking everyone for their support and asking folks to respect him and his family’s privacy.

“Please respect our privacy while my family and I process this loss.”

According to the New York Post, DeAndre is survived by his mother, Natlyn, and brothers Roy III and DeShaun.
